    GoodRec started 3 years ago with a small community in Brooklyn, New York. Since then, we have grown into the largest pickup sports app in the United States. With the GoodRec app, finding a one-off pickup game, league, or tournament near you is fast and easy. All you have to do is tap the app, join a game, and show up ready to play!


    What you'll do:

    As NodeJS BE Engineer at GoodRec, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our sports app. Working closely with the CTO and tech team, you'll be responsible for helping us migrate from Firebase to AWS.


    We're looking for:

    • ENGLISH LEVEL C1/2 REQUIRED

    • Full-Time availability

    • Seniority: Mid-Level backend developer with 3-5 years experience

    • Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)

    • It is necessary to know some UI frameworks, and it is desirable to know about project architecture.

    • Strong team player with a desire to build the future of sports.

    • Strong communicator who wants to get involved in all aspects of the product.

    Requirements

    Tech Requirements:

    • Javascript

    • Typescript

    • Nodejs

    • AWS

    • JS-based UI framework (React, Vue, Svelte)

    • Database Modelling (any technique)

    • DB migration (direct experience or ETL)

    • GIT

    • Firebase (desirable)

    • Google Scripts (desirable)

    • Project architecture, design patterns, etc (desirable)

    • Unit testing (desirable)

    • Dependency Injection (desirable)


    Agile Methodologies

    • Experience working with tickets/tasks

    • Experience estimating tasks

    • Capable of helping with technical analysis

    • Git flow or trunk base development


    Compensation:

    • USD $3000 - $4000 / month depending on experience.
