About Us:

GoodRec started 3 years ago with a small community in Brooklyn, New York. Since then, we have grown into the largest pickup sports app in North America. With the GoodRec app, finding a one-off pickup game, league, or tournament near you is fast and easy. All you have to do is tap the app, join a game, and show up ready to play!

  • GoodRec is an app where you can find sports games to play in near you.

What you'll do:

We are seeking an experienced general manager to expand GoodRec’s product to new sports and communities. You will work closely with the founding team to grow revenue and profit and build scalable operating systems.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Build an incredible consumer-facing league product and manage the process end to end; Perform market research, analyse competitors, and execute on GTM strategies.

  • Identify opportunities in the market and generate revenue for partners and GoodRec. Adapt the business model to different sports and local communities.

  • Own growth goals and budgets for your projects, and deliver results on a monthly and quarterly basis. 

  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency enhancement through customer feedback interviews and continuous monitoring of user experience.

Requirements

The ideal profile:

  • Entrepreneurs who want to build something big and set ambitious goals with experience working in high-growth start-ups.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; Hands-on approach with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.

  • Self-starters who proactively identify and navigate through ambiguity with little or no guidance.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

  • Proven track record in establishing strong client relationships at a senior level, across a diverse client base.

  • Passionate about sports is a plus!

Some key requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in roles related to project management, business development, sales, and operations (preferred but not limited to).

  • Experience with P&L management, including budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

  • Background in entrepreneurship with demonstrated success in negotiating, executing, and managing client deals would be beneficial.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients.

  • Fluent in English
